Akihiro Kubota (1960-) is a Tokyo-based artist/researcher in the age of post-digital era.

His main interests include realtime AV performance, sound and software art and interface/interaction design by physical computing.

He is now investigating the possibilities of computers as a material (digital materialism) and algorithmic audio-visual improvisation. He received his Dr. Eng. degree from the University of Tokyo in 1989.
