Marco Deseriis (a.k.a. Snafu) is a journalist, networker and media critic currently enrolled in the Media Ecology Ph.D. program in the Department of Culture and Communication at New York University. In 2003, he co-authored the book Net.Art. L’Arte della Connessione (Milan: Shake Editions) with Giuseppe Marano. As a networker, Snafu manages the Italian node of The Thing (thething.it) and organizes Dina (d-i-n-a.net), international festival of guerrilla-communication and culture jamming. As an artist he occasionally collaborates with groups such as The Yes Men (www.theyesmen.org) and 0100101110101101.org. He is also a translator and a free-lance journalist who contributes to various magazines distributed with Italian daily La Repubblica.
